Sense and Drive DOO is a startup company with focus on innovative technologies in the field of power electronics, such as integration of wide-bandgap semiconductors, complex converter topologies, state of the art measurement, driving and control techniques into new, market-ready solutions.

Our small team of employees and contractors consists of experts with broad experience, gained worldwide in leading industrial and academic R&D groups.

Main goal of our development is to make those technologies applicable and affordable for the wide market in two ways:

Direct collaboration on customer specific projects

Development of research-aid equipment.

Founded in Sept. 2019. as a freelance company, Sense and Drive as a design service support to EU and US customers in the field of power electronics.

Growing experience and laboratory, number of employees and network of contractors, lead to foundation of Sense and Drive DOO in May 2022.

Thanks to previous experience, an in-house product development path is established. Our focus is on the novel measurement techniques, safety and protection, as well as modular prototyping solutions.

Company name comes from the fundamental aspects of power electronics: sensing changes in electrical (and mechanical) systems, in order to drive power conversion in (closed-loop) controlled way. Since the very beginning of power electronics, this concept has been used in literally all systems, regardless of voltage/current/power range and application demands. Our core mission is to provide state-of-the-art solutions for sensing, driving and control to the power electronics world that can meet constantly growing demands.

  • Integrated three-phase motor drive, for dc-link voltage 24 V – 60 V and 1.5 kW nominal power
  • Single-phase, four-level Flying capacitor module, based on GaN devices
  • Evaluation of performance of automotive grade GaN module (nominal 100 A and 600 V)
  • Digitally controlled “ideal diode” switch for low-voltage high-current applications (up to 30 V, 50 A)
  • Comparison of SiC and GaN performance for multilevel automotive drives
  • Analysis of six-phase two-level drives for automotive powertrain solutions
  • Modular control platform, with options for C2000 and STM32 MCUs and up to 6 power modules
  • Design and control algorithms for three-level three-phase grid converter for 850 V dc-link formation and 10 kW nominal power
